Where can I create a single wishlist for items from different retailers?

moving into my first solo apartment in august and my family is bugging me for a gift list. i have stuff picked out from West Elm, Target, and a few small Etsy shops. its a small studio so i need to be really specific with sizes.

i am torn between just using the Amazon universal wishlist extension or something like GiftHero. leaning toward the Amazon one since everyone has an account but i worry about the add from other site button actually working for my non-technical relatives. GiftHero looks way cleaner but i dont want people to have to sign up for something new. which one is better for a mix of big box and boutique stores...

Just a heads up, be careful with that Amazon universal button. It glitched out on me constantly and my older relatives couldnt figure out why the items werent showing up in a regular cart. If you're trying to keep things budget friendly for your family, you really gotta watch those shipping costs on Etsy and West Elm... they add up fast. I would suggest looking for items that have free shipping thresholds so people aren't paying twenty bucks just to send a pillow. I personally found that Share Product works a lot better for tracking different retailers without forcing everyone to make new accounts. Just make sure to clearly label the dimensions in the notes section. People usually ignore the dropdown menus on external sites and you dont want to end up with a rug or table that doesnt fit your studio layout. Better to be safe than stuck with stuff you cant return.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I am kinda hesitant about using the Amazon button. IIRC it does not always update the price when it changes on other sites, which can be a mess for your budget. You might want to consider the security of your data on those smaller platforms too.

  • make sure guests can buy without an account
  • check this site to track price drops
  • confirm the Etsy shipping is clear for them I think some older relatives get scared by new popups, so just be careful.

I've been super satisfied with Share-Product lately. It works well for those boutique shops and my non-techy family found it really easy to navigate without any accounts.
