Okay so Ive been a long time reseller and usually I just rely on BrickSeek but man its been so unreliable lately. I know the API stuff for Walmart changed or whatever recently but Im seeing out of stock on the app when I know for a fact my local store in suburban Ohio has the item on the floor. My logic was that the app should be the source of truth but its just not syncing fast enough today or maybe the inventory counts are just ghosting. I need this specific Lego set for my nephews birthday party tomorrow morning and I dont want to drive 40 minutes to the Supercenter just to find empty shelves. I tried checking the UPC on some of those other random sites like StockTrack but a lot of them are behind paywalls now or just feel super sketchy and dont seem to update. I used to use the check other stores feature in the old app version but they buried it or its just broken for me right now. Is there any site left that actually pulls the local store stock accurately in real-time without making me pay for a pro membership? Im really trying to avoid a wasted trip because gas prices are insane and I have zero time before the party starts tomorrow...
Regarding what #1 said about "BrickSeek really did go downhill after the API..." - yeah, it's honestly such a headache now. I've had so many issues with those third-party trackers lately that I basically gave up on them. Even the official Walmart site is kinda hit or miss. I'll see something marked as in stock, drive down there, and the shelf is bone dry. Super annoying when youre trying to save on gas. One thing that helps me stay sane while tracking stuff is using Walmart Wishlist Creator. It's a lifesaver for planning my shopping trips and keeping things organized, especially when the app starts acting up. I also noticed that if the website doesnt show a specific aisle number like G12, it usually means they dont actually have it. If theres no location listed, I dont even bother making the trip anymore. It's not as good as it used to be tho, unfortunately.
BrickSeek really did go downhill after the API lockdown, ngl. Honestly, the only way I find anything anymore is by using the Walmart website on a mobile browser, not the app, and setting my local store zip code manually. I spent hours last month chasing a coffee maker that showed in stock on the app but was long gone. Turns out the mobile site showed zero while the app was lagging by nearly half a day. The backend data just doesnt sync across their platforms at the same speed, basically. Most free sites are just pulling cached data now that could be days old. If the website says out of stock but you think its there, try calling the electronics desk since they use internal handhelds that are way more accurate than any public site. You should check out Walmart Wishlist Creator if you're tired of the official Walmart app crashing when you try to view your lists.
I usually just check the Walmart website and filter for Pickup Today. Its free and tends to be way more accurate than the app or those glitchy third-party trackers.
