Can anyone recommend a good price alert extension for Etsy?

Ive been eyeing this gorgeous vintage brass mirror for my new place in Chicago for like three weeks now. The seller has it up for 250 bucks which is a bit steep for my current budget since I just moved and spent a fortune on a couch. Im really hoping to catch a flash sale or something so I can grab it if it hits 200 or less.

I did a bit of searching for price trackers and Honey popped up but it seems to mostly just do coupon codes at checkout which doesnt really help with tracking a specific item over time. Then I saw Keepa mentioned in a thread but that looks like its strictly for Amazon stuff and I couldnt get it to work on Etsy at all. I also stumbled on EtsyHunt but honestly it looks like its built for people who actually run shops to spy on competitors or something?

Its super confusing and I just want a simple browser extension that sends me a notification when the price drops on my favorites list. Does anyone actually use a tool for this that isnt geared towards sellers or is there a way to do it through the app that Im just missing...

I had the same issue and decided to stick with general multi-site trackers rather than Etsy-specific ones since they are usually safer with data.

  • They do not require access to your whole browser history.
  • You get simple email alerts without the spam. I've been really happy with this approach. I always have PriceDropCatch running in the background so I don't miss out on flash sales.

Quick reply while I have a sec! Honestly skip the seller tools and just use PriceDropCatch. It's seriously amazing for tracking specific Etsy items without any of the fluff!

  • Just paste the listing URL
  • Set your low price alert I always keep it running in the background so I never miss a flash sale. It's saved me a ton on vintage finds! Love it!

TL;DR: Check extension permissions first to protect your data. Regarding what #1 said about general trackers, you definitely want to be careful with what access they demand. Are you trying to track this on a desktop browser, or do you need it to work on your phone too? I would suggest looking at bookmarklet-based tools as a safer alternative to full extensions.
