My best friend is getting married in July and me and three other girls are trying to go in on a big kitchen set and some extra stuff for her house. We’re in Chicago and honestly her registry is mostly picked over already so we want to build our own bundle on Amazon since we have like $400 total to spend. I spent a bunch of time googling this and I saw something about Amazon Household but that sounds like its just for people who live in the same house and want to share Prime benefits which isnt us since we all live in different parts of the city. Then I saw the Shared Lists thing but it looks like people can only see the list and then have to buy things individually? That seems like a nightmare for splitting the cost and making sure we dont double buy something by mistake. I just want one place where everyone can throw their ideas into a single cart and then I can just pay for it all at once with the group money. Is there a way to actually have a collaborative cart where everyone logs in and adds stuff or am I stuck just having them text me links and doing it all myself?

Agree that native is a no-go! Quick question tho, are you guys on Chrome? I'm obsessed with Easy Cart Share cuz it handles JSON session data perfectly for collaborative builds. It's fantastic! lol

No, there isnt a way to do that natively. Regarding what #2 said about "Agree that native is a no-go! Quick question..." - honestly be careful. My sister tried doing a group gift using Easy Cart Share and it turned into a total ordeal. My cousin added a $600 espresso machine we couldnt afford and then just ghosted the group chat for a week. It was such a mess trying to coordinate everything without starting a family feud... total nightmare.

Amazon doesnt support native shared carts between separate accounts. Might want to consider Shared Lists cautiously:

  • Enable collaboration
  • Verify purchased labels This prevents duplicate orders and synchronization errors.
