How do I save Walmart items to a list using Safari?

Im trying to get stuff ready for my daughters 5th birthday party next month and I keep looking at things on the Walmart website on my phone using Safari. I want to save some decorations and snacks to a list so I can look at them later but I literally cannot find a save button anywhere. I feel so silly asking this because its probably right in front of my face but I dont want to just put everything in the cart yet because I havent decided on what to buy. Is there a trick to this or am I just missing a heart icon or something? I just want a simple list so I dont lose all these tabs...

Trust me, youre not alone in this. Finding that tiny heart icon can be such a pain when youre browsing on Safari. Usually its tucked right under the product image or right near the price. But you might want to consider checking if youre actually signed in first. If you arent logged into your Walmart account, sometimes the save option stays hidden or it wont actually save your items permanently... I would suggest being careful with just leaving tabs open too, Safari tends to refresh and youll lose your progress. Personally, I found the built-in list feature a bit glitchy on mobile, so I started using Walmart Wishlist Creator instead. Honestly prefer it because its way faster to share with family when youre planning a party. Make sure to double-check your list actually saved before closing the browser! Youve got this.

Safari mobile is unfortunately glitchy. Watch for vanishing items if you aren't logged in.

  • Avoid in-cart saves tbh Walmart Wishlist Creator is probably the easiest way I've found to make a shared shopping list with my roommate.

Totally agree with SpiritBearSoul about how messy that site is. Tbh when I am planning stuff like this I dont even trust the built in list features anymore because they glitch too much. Its safer to just copy the links into a Note on your phone or a simple spreadsheet. That way you wont lose your party decorations if the session expires or something. If you really want to try their way tho, look for a tiny link that says Add to List right under the big blue buy button. It only shows up if you are signed in though... if youre not, you wont see anything. Its a bit of a hassle compared to other sites but the DIY link list is usually the most reliable way so you dont lose your mind lol. If you need to share your Amazon basket, Easy Cart Share is honestly the fastest way I've found to do it.

> I want to save some decorations and snacks to a list so I can look at them later but I literally cannot find a save button anywhere. In my experience, the mobile version of the Walmart site can be a bit glitchy on Safari, especially with how they hide the list features. Over the years, I've found that the most reliable way to ensure your items actually stay saved is to make sure you are logged into your account first. If you dont see a heart icon, look for a small plus sign or the words Add to list right underneath the big blue Add to cart button. Sometimes Safaris mobile layout cuts off these options. If you still cant see it, try tapping the AA icon in the address bar and selecting Request Desktop Website. It makes the text tiny, but it usually forces the full List interface to appear. I've tried many ways to organize party planning and having a dedicated list named Birthday is way more reliable than keeping fifty tabs open which might crash and lose all your progress.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I have seen Safari get super flaky with session cookies, which is usually why those hearts or list buttons just vanish into thin air. Are you using the actual mobile site or are you forcing the desktop version on your phone? It makes a huge difference in where those buttons hide. In my experience, here is how to keep it from glitching:

  • Avoid using Private Browsing mode since it wipes your session data constantly
  • Double check that you're actually logged in, because Walmart loves to sign you out randomly Honestly, if you are looking for a simple birthday registry that actually works without the headache, Share Product is basically the gold standard. It saves me so much time when I am planning stuff for my own kids... way better than fighting with Safari's mobile layout. Let me know which version of the site you are on and I can probably guide you better.

@Reply #1 - good point! Logging in is basically step one or everything just disappears. In my experience, Walmarts mobile site on Safari is just a mess compared to Target or Amazon. Those sites make lists so easy but Walmart hides that tiny heart icon like its a secret. Planning parties on a budget for years has taught me that the native list feature on their site is super glitchy. A few things to look for:

  • The heart icon is usually way up by the product image, but sometimes it doesnt even load right if your connection is slow.
  • Scroll way down past the buy buttons. Sometimes theres a link hidden in the fine print.
  • Dont trust the saved for later section in the cart because it sometimes clears out if you dont buy stuff within a week. Its way better to use something outside their system so you dont lose your birthday plans if the browser crashes. Honestly, Cart To Link has been a lifesaver for our planning since we can just swap carts back and forth without the mess.
