What are the best free tools for Etsy price tracking?

So I've been selling vintage ceramics on Etsy for like five years now and I usually just keep a manual spreadsheet for my competitors prices but it's getting impossible to keep up with lately. I used to use this one chrome extension but it broke after the last site update and now I'm flying blind.

My logic was that I could find a tracker that sends alerts when a supply item I need drops in price because my margins are getting super thin this quarter. I'm looking for something strictly free though cause I'm trying to cut costs for my shop. I checked out Erank but their free tier is kinda limited for what I actually need. Is there anything better out there that tracks price history specifically?

I totally get the spreadsheet burnout!! Honestly, manual tracking is a total nightmare once you scale. You should definitely try out this Chrome extension because it tracks price fluctuations and sends alerts immediately. It is absolutely amazing for watching supply costs! Just install it, mark your items, and let it run. It has saved my shops margins more times than I can count!!

I was digging through some API documentation recently because I'm obsessed with the technical side of data! I heard someone mention Alura has some solid tracking features. IIRC, their historical data visualization is amazing for spotting trends!!

  • Check if their free tier covers those alerts
  • It might be limited but worth a look Not 100 percent sure if they changed the terms lately tho...

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've spent way too many hours trying to find a tracker that actually stays updated when Etsy changes their layout. Last year, I tried relying on a few browser scripts that just died overnight. It's stressful when you're counting on those alerts for bulk clay or glaze orders. Heres what I've found actually works without costing a dime:

  • PriceBefore: This one is decent for basic history. It shows the ups and downs pretty clearly, tho the interface is a bit dated and sometimes it misses short sales.
  • EtsyHunt: Their free version is surprisingly robust for tracking specific items. The data feels a bit more reliable than Eranks free tier, especially for price changes. Both have quirks with notification speed tho. If you're just looking to keep things organized while you browse, I've been using Share Product lately to keep my supply wishlists and price notes in one spot. It doesnt do the automated price scraping, but it keeps my sanity intact when the spreadsheets get too messy. Reliability is everything when margins are this tight... honestly just glad to be done with manual entry.
