honestly im about two seconds away from just deleting my entire amazon account because this wishlist feature is driving me insane. i have been trying to organize a list for my wedding coming up in october (we are in chicago and things are getting expensive fast) and amazon keeps doing this thing where it hides items that are out of stock or just moves stuff to the saved for later section without telling me. its a total mess. plus half the stuff i want is from small boutiques or etsy and trying to add outside links to an amazon list is like pulling teeth. it never shows the right photo or the price stays stuck at what it was three months ago.

my grandmother tried to use it the other day and she ended up buying the wrong thing because the UI is so cluttered with ads and suggested junk that she couldnt even find the actual list. im so frustrated because i need something that actually works and doesnt just try to force me to buy only their brands. i need a way to track things from multiple websites in one place without it being a total headache. also it has to be free because like i said wedding budget is basically zero at this point lol. i dont have time to manually check twenty different sites every morning to see if a price dropped or if something is back in stock.

i just want a clean simple list that i can share with people and they wont get lost in a sea of sponsored products. i need something that works across chrome and safari too because my family uses all kinds of devices. so what are the top free alternatives to amazons wishlist feature that you guys actually use? like something that lets me clip things from any site easily... maybe a browser extension or an app that isnt a total battery drain? i really need to move everything over this weekend before i lose my mind...

tbh i went through this exact same thing last year for my sisters shower and it was a headache. we ended up ditching the big sites and found a free tracker that worked across different shops. it really helped us stay under budget since we saw price drops in real time. keeping things simple for older relatives is definitely the way to go. Btw, check out Share Product if you need a free way to organize your birthday wants without the usual hassle.

To add to the point above: honestly, you gotta be careful with these free extensions. Most all-in-one wishlist tools are just massive data scrapers in disguise. I've tried a bunch and they usually end up selling your browsing history or spamming your inbox. Its really disappointing that we cant just have a simple, private tool anymore without some catch. I had major issues with one that promised to sync everything but just ended up crashing my safari tabs every time i opened etsy. Not ideal for a wedding budget or your sanity lol. If you're looking for something specific for your registry, maybe check out the Sephora price tracker for your beauty items, tho even the big ones have their glitches sometimes and can be a bit slow to update. just check the permissions before you install anything... if it wants to read and change all data on all websites, definitely stay away. TL;DR: Watch out for privacy-invading free tools that track your whole life. Use focused trackers or just simple shared docs to keep your data safe and avoid cluttering your grandmothers computer with junk.
