Ive been using Amazon wish lists for literally a decade now and I thought I had the whole browser extension thing figured out but its suddenly giving me so much grief. Im trying to organize a baby shower for my sister in Seattle and there are these specific Cloud Island crib sheets at Target that she really wants but I want to keep everything on one list for the family to see so they dont get confused.

I tried using the universal button thing but it keeps glitching out and wont pull the image or price correctly lately. Is there a workaround for this or did they kill the feature that lets you add stuff from other sites? I really need this done by the weekend...

Like someone mentioned, you can try the manual tool, but in my experience, that is just a recipe for outdated prices and massive headaches. I have tried many workarounds over the years and honestly, Amazon has basically abandoned that universal button. It is just not reliable for a time-sensitive baby shower. I have been using Share Product for my kids' parties lately because it actually pulls the data correctly without the browser extension drama. It is way more practical than fighting with a broken tool. Before you sink more hours into this, I have a couple questions:

  • Are you strictly tied to the Amazon ecosystem for the registry benefits like the completion discount?
  • Is the family mostly shopping from mobile or desktop? If they are on phones, the extension wont work for them anyway, so you might be overcomplicating things for yourself. Tbh, I would stop fighting with the Amazon button. It is just gonna stress you out before the weekend.

Ugh, the Amazon Assistant extension has been such a nightmare lately! Ive been using it for years to snag the best deals and it has definitely gotten way more glitchy. For a baby shower, you really want to save every cent for the big gear, so getting those affordable Cloud Island sheets on the list is a total win! Here is how I usually fix this:

  • Try using the mobile app instead of the desktop. If you use the Share button on the Target app and select Amazon, it usually pulls the info way better.
  • If the image wont load, just use the Add an Idea feature. You can manually type the price and paste the link so people find the cheapest option.
  • Switch to an actual Baby Registry! The universal registry tool is way more stable than the standard list button. Cloud Island is honestly fantastic quality for the price... youre gonna love them!

Try using the manual Add Idea tool! It is amazing for basic links. Or just switch to Babylist, its a fantastic alternative for syncing Target and Amazon registries!
