Where is the Save for Later button in the Walmart app?

I'm literally staring at my phone right now trying to move this $90 air fryer into a save for later list because I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger yet but I can't find the stupid button anywhere. I looked it up on some help forums and they all say there should be a link right under the checkout button in the cart or maybe near the heart icon but my app just shows the trash can to delete it and thats it. I even updated the app this morning thinking maybe it was just a bug or something but still nothing. Did they move it in a recent update or am I just blind? Seriously where is the save for later button hidden in this thing?

> my app just shows the trash can to delete it and thats it. Honestly, the Walmart app can be so glitchy with that specific feature. Ive been using it for years and they seem to move the UI around every six months just to mess with us lol. It is super frustrating when you just want to clear your cart without losing your place. Usually, the button is supposed to be right there in your cart under the product name, but sometimes it disappears if the app is acting up. If youre only seeing the trash can, try clicking the actual product name to go back to the item page, then hit the heart icon at the top right. That adds it to a List which is basically the same thing as saving for later. You can find your lists in the account tab later on. I do this with groceries all the time when I am not ready to buy yet. Another trick I use is to just log into Walmart.com on a mobile browser instead of using the actual app. For some reason, the mobile site is way more consistent with showing the Save for later link right under the item price in the cart. I had the same issue with a Ninja Foodi air fryer last week and had to do exactly that to get it off my checkout screen without losing the link. Its annoying but the browser version usually has the buttons that the app hides for some weird reason... definitely give that a shot.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I had this exact same issue like an hour ago and it drove me insane! I totally feel your frustration lol. The Walmart app is honestly a rollercoaster sometimes but I love finding workarounds. What worked for me was actually switching my shipping method from delivery to pickup right in the cart, and suddenly the Save for later link just popped back into existence under the item name. It makes no sense but hey, it worked! If you're still stuck, I've found that using Walmart Wishlist Creator is basically a lifesaver for this. I use it for all my big kitchen gadget hunts and it's so much better than fighting with the app's buggy cart system. Seriously, it's such a relief to have a dedicated spot for my future splurges! Good luck getting that air fryer, they're honestly life changing for quick dinners!

Yep been there done that. Can confirm everything said above is spot on.

I literally just dealt with this last week while trying to wait out a price drop on a vacuum. Walmart makes it weirdly difficult to just sit on an item sometimes. If the button isnt showing up near the trash can, its usually a cache issue or theyre testing a new layout in your area. Use the heart icon to add it to a list instead of the cart for now.

  • Check if you are signed into your account properly.
  • Use the website version on a browser if the app is glitching.
  • Try toggling your store location to refresh the UI. I usually skip their internal save feature now anyway and just use this free wishlist maker to monitor prices. Its a lot more reliable for budgeting since it doesnt randomly delete items or hide buttons when I am ready to buy. Air fryers are great for the price, but you definitely want to make sure you catch it when it actually goes on sale.

The button honestly disappears if the item is low on stock or if its from a third-party seller. Walmart is really weird about that. You might want to consider just adding it to a specific list instead because items in save for later often get cleared out when they update the app or if your session expires. Be careful though, sometimes the price on those air fryers fluctuates like crazy. I would suggest making a list named Kitchen and moving it there so you dont lose that $90 price point. If you want a more reliable way to track it outside the app, I use PriceDropCatch since it actually pings you when the price drops instead of relying on the apps buggy interface. Just make sure to double check that you are logged into your actual account and not a guest session because thatll kill the save feature instantly.
