Im honestly so stoked for my brothers party this weekend but coordinating this $200 grocery haul with my husband is a total nightmare lol. We keep adding the same stuff to our separate lists and its driving me crazy.

Does anyone know if two people can actually sync their Walmart app grocery lists together?

Walmart is still way behind on this tho, ngl. In my experience, there is no native way to sync two separate accounts yet which is a major oversight for families. The only real technical fix is sharing a single login across both your devices. It works okay, but you will run into some annoying quirks that drive me nuts over time.

  • The app will sometimes log one person out if you both have it open at once
  • Items might not show up instantly unless you manually pull down to refresh the cart
  • Avoid the save for later section because it doesnt sync correctly between devices If that sounds like too much hassle, just get any dedicated list-sharing app from the store. Any of the big ones will sync way faster than Walmart. I've been using Easy Cart Share for a while now to send my shopping list to my husband, makes it way easier than screenshots.

@Reply #2 - good point! Sharing a single login is definitely the most methodical approach here. Ive been using that exact system with my family for years and am very satisfied with how it functions. No complaints at all. It is a very practical solution for managing the total cost of a large haul like yours so you dont end up overspending. Just to clarify a few things... are you two planning to use the pickup service for the party stuff or are you going into the store? Also, are you looking to stay strictly under that $200 mark or is the list more about just getting everything in one go? tl;dr: Use one login on both devices. It works well for syncing and helps you track the budget in real time.

Honestly, syncing separate accounts just isnt a thing on the Walmart app yet. I agree with the workaround most people use, but in my experience, you have to be a bit cautious with the security side of things. Over the years, I've tried many methods and nothing beats just sharing one single login between both phones.

  • Sharing one login is the only way to see the cart update in real-time without glitches.
  • Make sure you double check your saved payment info since anyone logged in has access.
  • Turn on push notifications so you get a ping whenever your husband adds something. I've been doing this for a long time and while it feels kinda low-tech, its the most reliable way to handle a big haul without ending up with double of everything. Just gotta keep it simple sometimes...
