How do I share an Amazon Business cart with my team members?

I've been using Amazon Business for my Chicago startup for three years and usually handle all the ordering myself. But today I'm trying to do a $1,200 tech refresh for our breakroom and I need our new ops lead to check the cart before I hit buy.

I figured there'd be a simple share link or a collaborate button in the cart view but I'm totally missing it. I know how to use Shared Lists but that feels too clunky for a quick checkout. Is there a way to just send the live cart directly to another team member or am I gonna have to move everything into a list first?

Are you on the Duo plan or a larger group account? In my experience, you should use Approval Workflows, though this Chrome extension is a more efficient alternative for quick sharing.

  • I definitely agree that an extension is the most efficient path, but I'd suggest being a bit cautious when you're dealing with a $1,200 order. You might want to consider using Share-A-Cart. It's probably the most stable option for business carts and it helps you avoid the cost of upgrading your Amazon tier just for one feature. Make sure to verify that your ops lead sees the exact same quantities you added. Sometimes tech prices or availability shift if the cart sits too long. Also, I would suggest using this tool because it doesn't always require the other person to have the plugin installed to view the items, which is safer for your team's browser security. Just be careful to double-check the final subtotal before they finalize anything... better safe than sorry when you're spending that much of the budget.

Unfortunately Amazon keeps this feature locked behind their higher-tier plans which is a joke for a small startup. Tried using their native business tools for a big refresh last month and it was honestly a letdown... items kept dropping off the list and the recipient couldnt see the specific business discounts. If youre trying to avoid those monthly fees, you basically have to use a browser extension. A few things to watch out for:

  • Some tools struggle with the tax-exempt settings on business accounts.
  • Most extensions lag if the cart has more than 10 different SKUs.
  • Double check the quantities because sync errors are common with the bigger names. Its really not worth the headache of trying to do it the official way when it feels so broken. Honestly, Easy Cart Share is way better than just sending a bunch of product links one by one.
