Look I am literally moving into my new place in Austin on Tuesday and I am freaking out because I have like 40 items in my Walmart cart right now but I need my roommate to actually pay for half of it and see what I picked so she doesnt buy duplicates. My budget for this whole first week haul is $300 and I am already at like $285 so I really cant afford to mess this up or buy things twice. I spent like three hours finding the specific cheap towels and cleaning supplies that were actually in stock at the store on Parmer Lane and I really dont want to lose the progress or have to start over from scratch.
I am trying to figure out the best way to just give her my cart without giving her my whole password because I have my personal credit card and my parents info saved on there and I dont really want to go through the hassle of deleting everything just for one order. I am torn between two ways to handle this. Option one I was looking at was just making a Registry or a Wish List and then sending her the link but I read somewhere that those lists dont always update the inventory in real time and some of the stuff I picked is low stock and might sell out before she checks out. Option two is this browser extension called Share-A-Cart but I dont know if it is safe or if it actually works with the Walmart mobile app because she is on her phone and I am on my laptop. Or maybe I should just bite the bullet and give her my login and just hope she doesnt accidentally use my saved card? I really dont want to do that though.
Is there a built-in button I am missing? I checked the help pages and they keep talking about sharing a list but a list is not a cart and I dont want her to have to re-add every single item manually because some of these generic brand items look identical and she will definitely pick the more expensive name brand ones by mistake. I am in a huge rush because we need to get the order placed for pickup by tomorrow morning to get a slot. Has anyone used that extension or is there a way to link the accounts or something so she can see my active basket? I just need her to see exactly what I have so she can pay with her card...
Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.
> I am trying to figure out the best way to just give her my cart without giving her my whole password Building on the earlier suggestion, using an extension is basically the only reliable way to do this. Registries are decent for gifts but they dont update fast enough for grocery runs when items are low stock. Definitely dont give out your password tho, that is just a security nightmare waiting to happen. If you want a decent option that handles the export part well, Easy Cart Share for Walmart works pretty smoothly for this. It just bundles everything you found at the Parmer Lane store so she can checkout on her end. It is a solid choice because it keeps the exact items you picked, which is huge when you are trying to stay under that $300 limit and avoid the pricey name brands. It usually works fine across different devices. Just have her open the shared link on her phone and it should populate her cart. Just make sure she is logged into her own Walmart account first so she doesnt accidentally mess with yours. Moving is stressful enough... hopefully you get that pickup slot and everything stays in stock for you.
Honestly, Share-A-Cart is a total lifesaver for this! I love it because it handles the exact items perfectly without the registry mess. It is amazing for preventing those expensive mistakes!!
