Ive been using Prime for years and usually managing accounts across US and UK is a breeze but I just hit a wall. Im moving to Berlin in two weeks and spent hours building a cart on the .com site for my new apartment. I have about 500 euros worth of kitchen stuff ready to go.
But when I log into the .de site everything is just gone. Its totally empty. I thought my account was synced but apparently the regional carts are separate? Does anyone know if theres a way to import or share the cart data between regions so I dont have to search for everything from scratch again?
Basically Amazon regions are totally separate, so your US cart wont show up on the German site. Moving all that info is a pain. Just be careful because US kitchen gear usually wont work in Berlin without a transformer.
Replying quick while I have a sec. Unfortunately, no, you cant sync those carts between regions and its honestly a massive letdown. Its just not as good as I expected it to be for a company that size. Dealing with this during my last big move was a total headache, especially since the cost of rebuying everything locally was way higher than I initially budgeted. Actually, it reminds me of when hunting for a cheap high-end blender led me way out into the countryside to some random estate sale. The seller promised it was mint, but the motor burned out immediately because the wiring in those old German buildings can be so touchy. Losing a hundred bucks and a whole Saturday really sucked. Anyway lol sorry I kinda went off on a tangent there.
