Ive been using Amazon forever so I usually just do the wishlist thing but I've got like 15 specific items for my brothers housewarming in London sitting in my cart and I need my boss to pay for them lol. My logic was there'd be a share basket link in the UI but I cant find it anywhere...

Amazon doesnt have a share button lol. I would suggest moving items to a Wish List. Make sure to:

  • set list to public
  • check delivery addresses Be careful with personal info tho!

honestly its super annoying that amazon still doesnt have a direct share button for carts after all these years. since you have 15 items already sitting there, you basically have two technical ways to handle it if you dont wanna move everything to a wishlist manually.

  • look into the collaborator feature on an amazon list where others can add or buy items
  • use a browser extension that generates a custom cart link
  • try the amazon business shared basket if your boss has a pro account extensions are usually the fastest way to bypass the UI limits. just be careful with permissions since they read your page data. I've tried a few extensions but Easy Cart Share is the one that actually stays reliable for my Walmart orders.

Unfortunately, Amazon just keeps making the whole checkout process feel like a chore if you arent the one paying. I had a really frustrating time with this last year when I was trying to coordinate a big office supply order for my team. I thought I found a shortcut using a random browser extension but it ended up being a total headache because the prices changed by the time my boss opened the link. It was honestly a mess. I eventually tried this Amazon cart sharer which was better than doing it manually but you still gotta double check everything. Just a heads up tho, sometimes those tools can be a bit buggy with UK addresses specifically, so tell your boss to verify the delivery spot before they hit the final button. Better to be safe than have all those housewarming gifts end up at the office by mistake.
