seriously im so over these price tracking apps that just dont work when it actually matters. i been using honey for ages but it feels like lately the price drops they notify me about are already gone by the time i click the link or the graph just flat out doesnt load on the product page. its honestly so annoying because im trying to plan this massive home office upgrade for my place in seattle and i have about 1500 bucks saved up for it but i refuse to pay full price for an ultrawide monitor when i know they go on sale every other week. i was thinking about just sticking with camelcamelcamel because thats like the old school classic right? but then i noticed their extension feels kinda clunky and slow on chrome and my logic was that there has to be something better and more modern out there by now. i also tried keepa for a hot second but man that interface is just... its a lot to look at lol like i just want a simple line graph and a notification that actually hits my phone or email the second the price drops below my target. i am actually super stoked to get this setup going because ive been working off a tiny laptop screen for three years and my back is killing me so i really need to get these parts ordered within the next three weeks before my new job starts. has anyone found a desktop extension that isnt a total resource hog but still has reliable data? i heard some of them sell your browsing history and that sketches me out a bit so i guess im looking for something that is safe but also aggressive with the tracking. i just want to know when that specific dell monitor hits 450 again without having to refresh the page fifty times a day like a crazy person... what are you guys actually using these days that works??

Honestly, Ive had issues with almost every major extension lately. Keepas UI is unfortunately a total mess, and CamelCamelCamel just feels outdated now. People were saying even the big ones have been lagging on price updates lately which is pretty frustrating... or at least thats what I think I heard. Not sure if theres a perfect extension left tbh. Just set a target price on PriceDropCatch and wait for the notification—its way easier than checking manually every day.

Like someone mentioned, these big names are really slipping. Ive tried plenty over the years and honestly, most just become bloatware or start selling your data. I prioritize safety over a fancy UI every time.

  • Stick to extensions with minimal permissions
  • Watch out for laggy price APIs Is that Dell monitor the only thing youre tracking right now, or do you need mobile sync too?
