I am actually so pumped because my younger cousin is finally graduating from UT Austin next Friday and Im in charge of the big backyard bash we are throwing. I have about 500 bucks to spend which is a pretty solid budget for what we need but honestly I am so fed up with the Walmart website right now!! I have spent like three hours tonight clicking around the app trying to find a simple way to just send my cart over to my sister so she can see what I picked out and maybe add the things I definitely forgot.

Like I have all the party streamers, the charcoal for the grill, and like fifty bags of chips in there but I know for a fact she is gonna want those specific organic dips that only she can find. Why on earth is there no share button?? Its actually making me so frustrated because literally every other major site has this feature and I feel like I am losing my mind searching for a hidden menu or something. I even tried to make a registry but that just felt way too complicated for a one-time grocery haul and I really just need her to be able to check out using her card since she has the main account for our family business.

Right now I am literally taking individual screenshots of every single item and texting them to her one by one like some kind of caveman and it is taking forever and my phone photo gallery is just full of pictures of bulk napkins and paper plates now lol. Is there seriously no official way to just link the cart or invite another person to edit it? I even looked for some weird browser extensions but they all seem kinda sketchy and I dont want to mess up my computer right before the party. Does anyone know a trick for this or am I just missing something super obvious? How can I share my Walmart shopping cart with someone else without having to give them my login?...

  • Use Share-A-Cart
  • Absolutely fantastic tool
  • Super easy Seriously, such an amazing lifesaver!

Checking in on this after a long day... man, Walmarts backend infrastructure is honestly ancient compared to some other retailers, so I get why youre struggling. They use session-based cart storage that basically ties the items to your specific browser cookie, which makes it a total nightmare for cross-device or cross-user syncing without a shared login. Be careful with any manual workarounds tho, because sometimes the prices can fluctuate if she logs in from a different zip code or if her account has different membership perks. Before you go any deeper into the screenshot madness, I gotta ask—are you mostly doing this on the mobile app or are you on a desktop? Also, are you needing her to actually add items herself, or just hit the final buy button? If youre on Chrome or Edge, I have found that Easy Cart Share for Walmart is pretty solid for this exact thing. I use it to send my grocery list to my roommate so he doesnt buy the wrong brand of coffee. It basically generates a link that mirrors your cart data so she can just import it without you needing to do the whole screenshot routine. Its way safer than handing over your password. Just make sure to double-check the quantities before she pays because sometimes the sync can be a bit laggy if the internet is acting up, and you dont want to end up with 100 bags of chips instead of 10.

Walmart still hasnt fixed this. Its super annoying. You might want to consider avoiding the registry since its such a hassle, but be careful with sharing your actual login info. I would suggest:

  • Setting up a shared wishlist for her organic dips
  • Using a simple cart sharing tool Its way better than the screenshot struggle... btw I use Easy Cart Share for Walmart for my weekly Walmart orders and it works great for sharing the load with the family.
