I have been setting these things up for years now and honestly, you might want to consider being careful with those local links. That exact mess happened to me last year when my mother-in-law couldnt get a link to work. My current setup is MyRegistry and it handled those custom SKUs way better.

Saw this thread this morning. I definitely agree with the previous post about MyRegistry being solid. In my experience, most of these apps break when they try to scrape data from smaller local shops because the backend code is just messy. I prefer manual entries for reliability so the grandparents dont get confused. My sister recommended Share Product to me for my son's first birthday and I am never going back to paper lists again.

Unfortunately, MyRegistry didnt work for me as expected... honestly kinda disappointed. Just use any simple Wishlist site. Its much safer and keeps the budget practical for everyone!
