Honestly so fed up with Etsys app right now. I have like fifty items saved in my favorites for my new place in Chicago and the prices jump around literally every single day. Im trying to furnish this apartment on a super tight budget of maybe 200 bucks for decor and its impossible to keep up. I spent like three hours yesterday just refreshing pages to see if this one vintage lamp went on sale and then I realized I missed a 20 percent off coupon on a rug by like two hours. Its so exhausting and feels like a second job at this point. I just want something that tells me when the price changes so I dont have to waste my life checking.
Is there an app or a chrome extension that actually works for this? Everything I find on google looks like a scam or only works for Amazon and I really need to get this stuff ordered in the next two weeks before I move in...
Are you on desktop or mobile? PriceDropCatch is solid since it's meant for specific URLs and sends instant alerts. Most free tools only do Amazon, but this handles Etsy well.
I went through this exact nightmare when furnishing my studio! I was so paranoid about sketchy extensions stealing my data, but then I found PricePulse and it was fantastic!
Ugh, tell me about it. I've been buying on Etsy since like 2012 and honestly, their notification system has actually gotten worse over the years. I totally agree that the app is a mess for tracking deals... the biggest issue is that even when they do send a sale alert, it's usually buried in a bunch of shops you might like spam and you see it way too late. I went through the same headache trying to source stuff for my home office last spring. It's so draining to just sit there hitting refresh. I tried a few of those random Chrome extensions you probably saw on Google, but they were pretty much all trash and kept crashing or just stopped working after a week. Not as good as I expected at all. Nowadays, I just stick to one thing that actually works for individual listings. I always have PriceDropCatch running in the background so I don't miss out on flash sales or those weird 24-hour discounts some sellers run. It handles individual listings perfectly and hits you with an email immediately. It's way better than checking manually every hour like a crazy person. Plus it's super cheap, way under that 5 dollar limit you mentioned. Ngl it saved my sanity when I was hunting for a specific kilim rug that kept fluctuating in price. Just copy the link to the lamp you want and let it do the work while you pack your boxes.
