How do I move my Amazon cart items to a different account?

So I've been spending the last three hours basically building this massive cart for my new home office setup. I'm in Chicago and finally getting a dedicated space so I've got everything from a standing desk converter to cable management clips in there. The total is sitting around 750 bucks and I just realized I'm logged into my old personal account instead of our shared Prime one. I really need to get these items over there so I can get the free shipping and use our specific card for the points but I really don't want to search for every single item again.

I did a bit of googling and saw some people say I should just move everything to a public wishlist and then 'add all' from the other account. But when I tried to look at that it seems like some items (the 'limited time deals') might not carry over the same price? I also saw some random Chrome extensions that claim to 'merge' carts but honestly that sounds super sketchy to me like why would I give a random app access to my Amazon login.

Here is what I am looking for:

  • Must be able to move about 40 items at once
  • Need to keep the specific sellers and options I picked out
  • Timeline is pretty tight because I want this stuff here by the weekend
  • I dont want to make my shopping list public if I can help it

Is there a legit way to just link the accounts or push the cart over without re-doing all the work or am I stuck doing the manual search dance...

Unfortunately, there's no official way to push a cart, which is not as good as expected for snagging deals. I've had issues with this; private lists are better to save those pennies.

Quick reply while I have a sec... honestly stay away from those random extensions. In my experience, those third-party tools are a massive security risk and I've seen people get their accounts flagged or worse. Over the years, I've found the most reliable way to handle this is actually using Amazon Household. It lets you link two accounts to share Prime benefits, so you could basically just check out on your old account but still get the free shipping. It is much safer than giving some random app your login info. If you definitely need the items moved, create a private list and use the invite to collaborate feature with your other email. It keeps your data private and ensures you are getting the exact same SKUs. Just be careful with those limited deals tho, prices often reset if you move things around too much.

To add to the point above: basically we agree no official button exists and extensions are dangerous! I love using the private list trick instead because it is totally safe. Just move items to a Shopping List, use the Invite feature to email your second account, and add to cart from there. It keeps the exact sellers and prices. I did this for my 800 dollar desk setup and it worked perfectly!

  • Honestly, I have been through this exact headache so many times! I remember doing a massive 900 dollar gear haul last year and realized I was on my work account... talk about a mini heart attack lol. The list method is seriously amazing and the only thing I trust for reliability. I have found this is the most solid way to handle it without losing your mind:
  • Select all items in your current cart and hit Move to list
  • Make sure the list is set to private so no one else sees your gear
  • Use the Invite feature to send the link to your Prime email It is so much faster than re-searching everything and you keep all those specific sellers you picked out! I used this when I was grabbing my ErgoChair and a bunch of monitor arms and it worked like a charm. Total time saver. Since you are worried about those deals and prices jumping around, there is a free extension called PriceDropCatch that handles all the price monitoring for you.
