How do I send my husband my Amazon cart for payment?

I'm honestly freaking out a little bit because these deals are ending in like two hours and I have about $400 worth of stuff for our upcoming camping trip in my cart but I cant just buy it myself right now. My husband is the one with the Prime account and the main credit card and he specifically told me not to use my personal card because we need the points for our flight to Florida next month and I dont want to mess that up.

I keep looking at the options and I'm torn between just making a public Wish List and sending him the link or trying to set up that Amazon Household thing where we share the Prime benefits? I'm leaning toward the Wish List because it seems faster but I'm worried if he adds the items to his cart from my list that the specific coupons I clipped wont carry over and we will end up paying way more than I planned. The other option is just taking screenshots of every single item and texting them to him but that feels so messy and he might get the wrong sizes for the kids sleeping bags since hes always in a rush at work.

Hes at work right now so he cant just look at my laptop screen and I really dont want to lose these deals or mess up the budget. Is there a better way to just send the whole cart so he can just hit pay or do I have to do the Household invite thing?...

Saw this a bit late so i hope you didn't lose those deals already! Honestly over the years I've tried every workaround for this exact headache. Sharing lists is a nightmare because those clipped coupons are tied to your specific account session, not the items themselves. Usually if he adds them from a list, the discount just vanishes and you're stuck paying full price. In my experience, the only way to keep the prices identical is a cart sharing tool. I always use Cart To Link whenever I'm doing big hauls for camping gear like this. It basically mirrors your exact cart and creates a link you can just text him. He clicks it, it populates his cart with your exact selections, and usually the discounts stay put. Are you seeing those clippable green coupons on the product pages or are they the promo codes you enter at checkout? Also, are you trying to do this from the mobile app or a computer browser?

Unfortunately Amazon Household sync is slow. I tried it last Prime Day and missed the best deals while waiting...

  • Share-A-Cart extension
  • Public Wishlist Wishlist is definitely safer.

Regarding what #1 said about "Unfortunately Amazon Household sync is slow. I tried..." - its 100% true. I've tried many workarounds over the years and Household always fails during big sales. Real quick tho, is he on a desktop? Forget the list for that $400 of gear, the coupons wont carry over.

  • Sign into his Prime account on your laptop
  • Add items there
  • He just hits refresh and pays

Regarding what #4 said about "." - lol guess they were short on time! Late to the party here but I had to jump in because I am a total pro at this and I honestly disagree with the idea of logging into his account on your machine. Its just asking for a headache with saved passwords and session timeouts tbh!! I've been using cart sharing tools for years and they are seriously amazing compared to the official Amazon Household feature. Here is why:

  • Household is super slow and often fails to sync the cart properly during high-traffic sales, whereas an extension is instant.
  • Extensions give you a specific code or link that locks in your choices, so he cant accidentally buy the wrong tent or sleeping bag sizes which would be a nightmare.
  • You get to keep your accounts separate which is fantastic for keeping your gift ideas a surprise later on! It really takes the stress out of those expiring deals when you can just send a link and be done with it. I love how much easier this makes my life when I'm trying to coordinate big camping hauls like yours. You should check out PriceDropCatch, it shows you the whole price history so you know if it's actually a deal.

I would be super careful trying to do this manually right before a deadline tbh. If you try to just recreate the cart on his side, you might run into some issues that end up costing you more.

  • watch out for 'Lightning Deals' because they are sometimes tied to the account that claimed them, so he might not see the same price you do even if he finds the same item
  • make sure you check the 'Sold By' info because if he accidentally picks a different seller the coupons definitely wont work
  • double check the total at the very last step since prices can jump the second a deal hits 100% claimed by other shoppers Good luck with the camping gear, hope you guys have a blast in Florida! Honestly, PriceDropCatch is the only way I can keep track of when things actually go on sale there.
