Is there a way to share an Amazon cart with another account?

Ive managed our office procurement for years but this is weird. Got $1,200 of gear in my cart for a new remote setup but I need my boss to pay with his login.

Tried sharing a list but its a huge pain for him to re-add everything manually. Is there a way to just link or send the whole cart over?

> Tried sharing a list but its a huge pain for him to re-add everything manually. ^ This. Also, I honestly had such a bad experience trying to do this for our office kitchen remodel last quarter. It seemed like Amazon would have a simple send cart button by now but nope... they make it so difficult for no reason. Most workarounds I found were just clunky and not as good as expected. Using Share-A-Cart ended up being the only thing that worked because doing it manually was just asking for a mistake with the quantities. If youre buying tech, just grab whatever you need from brands like Dell or HP. You really cant go wrong with the standard office gear from them. Just make sure your boss uses a business account if you have one to save on the tax, otherwise youre just throwing money away. Its such a headache though, really wish theyd fix this...

Amazon doesnt actually have a built-in button for this, which is honestly a big security risk if people start sharing passwords instead. I would suggest being very careful about how you transfer these items because manually re-adding everything usually leads to mistakes with quantities or specific model numbers. Here are a few things you might want to consider to keep the process secure:

  • Avoid sharing your login credentials with your boss under any circumstances.
  • Make sure to double-check the item count before he hits buy, as lists sometimes drop items.
  • Be careful with random browser extensions that might scrape your data. I personally use Cart To Link whenever I need to move a large order to someone else. It basically creates a simple link for the whole cart so you dont have to worry about the boss messin up the order by hand. It saves so much time and keeps the procurement process a lot cleaner... especially when you are dealing with over a grand in equipment.

I actually found this super cool way to handle this because I had a total nightmare last year! Setting up a whole mini-studio for my team involved like sixty different items in my cart. It was insane! I tried copying the links one by one into a doc but naturally I messed up the quantities and we ended up with way too many chargers. Huge waste of money and super embarrassing tbh. I realized then that manually rebuilding a cart is just asking for errors... you really need a reliable technical fix for this. You should definitely look into easy amazon cart sharing because it saves the state of your cart into a link. Honestly amazing how much stress it cuts out when you dont have to worry about the boss buying the wrong version of a laptop! Plus you never have to give them your login which is huge for security. It totally changed my workflow!

I've handled hundreds of these bulk orders over the years and the biggest trap is definitely manual entry. For a $1,200 setup, you really don't want to risk your boss ordering the wrong spec or missing a cable. It's a huge waste of time and super unprofessional if you gotta do returns right away. Using this Chrome extension has always been my go-to for moving carts reliably. It just shifts the whole list over so the quantities stay exactly as you set them. One big thing to watch out for tho: stay far away from any site that asks for your actual Amazon login to sync items. Thats a massive security red flag. Stick to tools that generate a unique code for the recipient. It keeps the process clean and prevents those annoying errors that happen when people try to rebuild carts from scratch.
