im really sorry if this is a total beginner question but i have no idea how to tell if an amazon discount is actually real or just a trick. i want to get my mom a nice air fryer for her birthday in three weeks and my budget is about 80 bucks max. i found one that says its 60% off but the original price looks way too high to begin with if that makes sense? i dont want to get ripped off with a fake sale.

  • how do i check the price history
  • is there a way to see if reviews are fake
  • are there certain sellers i should avoid

im just really worried about wasting my money on something that isnt actually a deal...

Amazon is notorious for those fake list prices so you gotta be careful. Honestly, the 60% off thing is usually just a tactic to make you panic-buy.

  • use CamelCamelCamel or Keepa to see the actual price history
  • avoid sellers with random string-of-letter names like XGY-Home I always make sure it is Shipped from Amazon too just in case it is a total dud... good luck with the gift!

Jumping in here... focus on your 80 dollar cap and ignore the original list price. It's totally doable for a good model.

  • Look for clippable coupons right under the price
  • Use PriceDropCatch to verify if its a real low
  • Check the warehouse section for open-box deals Warehouse deals are hit or miss but usually save tons. Its a solid budget, youre gonna find a great option!

Coming back to this, I've been shopping there for years and once you get the hang of it, you'll be happy with the deals you find. Quick question tho, does your mom need a big one or just something for two people?

  • Just get any Ninja or Instant Brand
  • Look for digital controls over knobs
  • Aim for at least 4 quarts You'll be satisfied with either. Check out PriceDropCatch for easy desktop alerts when prices dip.
