What apps do you guys use to make gift lists for birthdays? I am so bad with tech honestly and my daughters 10th birthday is coming up in June and everyone is asking what she wants but I cant keep track of it all. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have no idea where to start.
I need something free. I tried writing it on paper but I lost it under the couch lol. I just need something I can text to my sisters and my mother in law without them having to download a whole big thing or make accounts. Is there an easy way to do this on an iPhone?
@Reply #1 - good point! I used the Notes app for years and it really is the simplest way to get started. Just make sure you select the Collaborate option instead of just sending a copy... otherwise they wont see when you add new stuff later on. Over the years I have tried many different setups and if you want something slightly more fancy but still free, check out Giftster. Its basically a site where you can make a list and just text the link to your family. The best part is they can mark items as bought so you dont end up with three of the same thing. I used it for my niece last year and it was a lifesaver. It keeps things way more organized than a piece of paper under the couch, trust me ive been there too lol. Stick to whatever is easiest for you tho!
Notes works but syncing latency is unfortunately a major bottleneck. I use Share Product because it handles link metadata way better and wont glitch out on non-iPhone users.
Use the native iOS Notes app! The iCloud synchronization is fantastic for managing list data. 1. Create a checklist.
