Are there free alternatives to CamelCamelCamel for tracking Amazon prices?

Ive been using CamelCamelCamel for years to track price drops on pc parts but honestly its been letting me down lately. My logic was that their email alerts would be instant but I just missed a massive deal on that LG C3 monitor I need for my new home studio because the notification hit my inbox like three hours too late. I need a new desk setup ready by next Saturday so Im in a bit of a rush here.

I looked into Keepa but the data I actually need seems to be locked behind a subscription now? Are there any other free scrapers or browser extensions that dont have that lag? Just need something reliable that isnt gonna ghost me on the next price dip...

Unfortunately, Camel has become quite unreliable for time-sensitive studio gear lately. I had similar issues with their notification lag during my last build, which is frustrating when you are on a tight budget. I recommend trying out this price tracker for your LG monitor search. It is much better at catching those flash sales without the subscription fees that Keepa now requires for basic data.

I missed a huge discount on my setup because of that lag, so be careful. I would suggest checking:

  • Glass It
  • Honey They were way more reliable for me tho.

Quick reply while I'm on my lunch break. Man, I totally get the frustration with Camels lag. Back when stock was impossible to find, I tried to grab a 3080 and Camel notified me like 4 hours after the drop happened. It was a total joke... honestly, if you're not willing to pay for Keepas premium data, you're always gonna fight some level of delay because Amazon hates scrapers. I would suggest being careful with free apps because they usually pay the bills by selling your shopping habits. But if you're okay with that, here's what I've learned from my own build:

  • Earny is decent because it links to your email and watches for price protection drops, tho it is less live than a dedicated scraper.
  • Capital One Shopping extension sometimes catches price drops that arent even on the main Amazon listing yet because it crowdsources data from other users.
  • Make sure to check the Other Sellers list manually once a day; sometimes trackers miss the small price-matching wars between 3rd party sellers. The reality is that most free tools are throttled by Amazons API limits. If it's a mission-critical part for your studio, you might want to consider just checking the page yourself first thing in the morning. It kinda sucks but it's the only way to be 100 percent sure until your setup is done. You should check out PriceDropCatch if you're looking for a simple way to get desktop alerts when prices dip.
